Think of the little ones...

Yesterday, I went on a walk with most of my sisters, cousin, and grandparents. And on the walk, I came across a tiny bird's egg on the sidewalk under a tree. I bent down to look closer, and the egg was broken in many places, and a dead baby bird was inside. It had fallen out of the nest. Why?! I screamed inside my head. Why didn't this poor baby bird have a chance to live? Why did it have to die? Why? Why? Why?! Lord, why?

Later in the day, still thinking of the poor baby bird that didn't have a chance to live, I thought of all the human babies that don't have a chance to live. I thought of all the babies all over the world that are aborted every day! Every hour! Every minute! As you read this, lives are being taken away from those that can't do anything about it. Why? Why? Why?! Lord, why do these babies not have a chance at life?

Abortion is not only a sad thing, it is a bad thing! It is murder! It is killing. Killing those who can't defend themselves. If you don't think that's sad. Think again. If you don't think that's wrong. Think again. If you don't think that abortion is murder. Think again!

I have a ticker on my sidebar that approximately counts how many American babies have been aborted since the year 2000. Want to guess how many? You won't believe it...

Do you realize how many lives that is? THIRTEEN MILLION, FIVE HUNDRED SEVENTY-TWO THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED lives taken away. Which adds up to more than one million per year. Which adds up to approximately one thousand per month. Which adds up to approximately 33 per day. Which adds up to more than one per hour. (that was my math and logic, so don't take any of those numbers into an argument it was just an approximation...)

But God knows. God is in control. Those babies are playing a part in His divine plan. Remember, Jesus said while He was here on earth:

"Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows."

Abortion is a bad thing. And we need to work to stop it. But no matter what happens, God is in complete control, and He knows what is best. Paul said in Romans 8:28:

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose." (KJV)

Think of the little ones. Think of the ones that cannot defend themselves. In the book of James he says:

"Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."
