Guest Girl

Hey y'all!

As you have probably noticed (if you visit my blog) that I have a big banner up above and a couple buttons on my sidebar. What are they for? I am going to be the first "Guest Girl" over at Libby's blog! I am going to be talking about Mission Minded Teens! And at the end of the week she's having a giveaway! I think she is posting it next week! So be sure to check it out!

I will try to post every day she does it so that y'all remember to go over there. :)

Also, I am writing an article for Imagine about MMT! So be sure to check that out too! The issue it is in is coming out in February, I think.

Your friend,

Mission Minded Teens

Remember HELP? Well, now it has grown! Now, it is just a part of a big thing that we're doing called Mission Minded Teens!

Mission Minded Teens is a group of teens devoted to getting you information about how you can be involved in Missions, both overseas and at home.

On this blog, we are going to post information on organizations like Gospel for Asia and Youth With A Mission. We are going to give you ideas on how YOU can be involved both at home and overseas. Also on this blog we are going to tell you some great books to read, and more!

Please visit our new blog for more information, helpful resources and more!

And be checking back for more great posts!

A Challenge for you!

Dear friends,

I was just thinking about this project, and God laid it on my heart to challenge you. Do not stop reading this post! lol. I know you want to!

Here is the challenge:

Give up one thing this week.

Maybe it's a malt at Sonic every other day, or a Starbucks coffee every day, or pizza every Friday night. Whatever it is, I challenge you to give it up for a week, and donate the money that you usually use to buy whatever it is, to this project. HELP needs donations! Real bad. I have had ONE donor, and you know who that was? It was my partner in this project!

Now, I am not trying to make you feel bad for not donating, 'cause if I was, I would still be screaming at you and spamming your box! lol. God told me to raise $21,000, and I don't have that much money, so I need your help!

I still need to talk to the team about this, but right now, I am wanting to set a goal. $1,000 by Christmas! Wanna HELP? Donate now!

For the HELP team,
Buttercup

To donate, there is a link on the right sidebar. For more information, email the HELP team @ helpnm@embarqmail.com

Update on the Project, and how YOU can help!

Hi Y'all! We have inched forward a bit in this project!!! If you have NO idea what I am talking about, click "Project" on the navbar. =)

How we've moved forward lately:
  1. It is not just me anymore! It is not I anymore, it's We! Our team consists of me, my sister, and my friend who is really into the project. :)
  2. My friend not only is my first team member outside of the family, but also the first (and only so far) donor! So, now we have officially "begun!"

What we are working on now:

  1. I'm trying to get the word out on Blogger, The Rebelution, and email.
  2. We are trying to think of fundraisers to do, yeah, just thinking right now, sadly.
  3. I am making brochures and postcards to give out to get the word around.

What YOU can do to help:

  1. Donate money, that's what we need, but that's probably the simplest, but hardest thing for people to do.
  2. Get the word out! We need everyone to know! Email everyone on your list, blog about it, anything!
  3. Do your own fundraiser, donate your time. If I see that you are really getting into it and you want to be part of the team, I will definitely consider it! :)
  4. Pray. Ask God to guide you and our team to make right decisions and lead us in the right things to do.

So, there is no reason you can't do something! =D Get to it! And tell me if you do!

God bless you all, and this project! To God be the Glory! All of it!!!

Love in the Savior,

Project

Hi Y'all! I am going to undertake a big project! I think that God wants me to raise the money for a fully-equipped missionary vehicle for the native missionaries of Asia through Gospel For Asia (GFA). Here is what the site says on what it is,

A fully equipped vehicle—complete with an Indian-made film on the life of Christ, an LCD projector, generator, mobile public address system, Gospel tracts, Bibles and flip charts—is $21,000.

Yeah I know, $21,000. But, if God said do it, I can! So, do you want to help me??? You don't have to. :P Please get the word out! Direct people to my blog, where I will update! I think I will put this button on the sidebar, so you don't have to find the specific post. Since it is so much money, I am going to donate each month, whatever I recieve; so, it will probably not all go to one vehicle, but my goal still is $21,000!
