Randomness Friday, something new...

Hi Y'all! Some blogger friends of mine do this, and well, so I thought I'd try it out too! Prism started it, I just met her. Please visit her blog! To visit it, just click the button. Now, time to be random!

Project: I just posted an update on the project a few days ago, it tells about what you can do to help, where we are in the project, what we are working on, etc. Please go take a look, I made a link for it under the header. 5 W's and an H, Women of the Bible Study: I haven't had time to sit down and do the whole study, but I will do at least one next week! How are y'all liking my layout with that?

K. P. Yohannan director of Gospel For Asia - We were listening to one of his teachings, and he said something that really tickled me, he said: "The poor little Devil gets blamed for everything under the sun!" Or something like that. :P lol

Lord Of The Rings: Okay, I guess I'd better warn you, I am a total Lord of the Rings fan! So, I'm going to talk about it for a second.... =)

Have you ever thought of the similarities of Lord of the Rings, and the real life/the Bible? As far as I know, I could be wrong though, C. S. Lewis (the author of Narnia) led J. R. R. Tolkien (the author of Lord of the Rings) to Christ! So, for example, Gandalf represents Jesus. He defeated death, and rose again! See if you can find out some of the other representations in it, later, I might write all of the ones I see. :) Here are some of my favorite quotes from the first movie:

Update on the Project, and how YOU can help!

Hi Y'all! We have inched forward a bit in this project!!! If you have NO idea what I am talking about, click "Project" on the navbar. =)

How we've moved forward lately:

1. It is not just me anymore! It is not I anymore, it's We! Our team consists of me, my sister, and my friend who is really into the project. :)
2. My friend not only is my first team member outside of the family, but also the first (and only so far) donor! So, now we have officially "begun!"

What we are working on now:

1. I'm trying to get the word out on Blogger, The Rebelution, and email.
2. We are trying to think of fundraisers to do, yeah, just thinking right now, sadly.
3. I am making brochures and postcards to give out to get the word around.

What YOU can do to help:

1. Donate money, that's what we need, but that's probably the simplest, but hardest thing for people to do.
2. Get the word out! We need everyone to know! Email everyone on your list, blog about it, anything!
3. Do your own fundraiser, donate your time. If I see that you are really getting into it and you want to be part of the team, I will definitely consider it! :)
4. Pray. Ask God to guide you and our team to make right decisions and lead us in the right things to do.

So, there is no reason you can't do something! =D Get to it! And tell me if you do!

Animal Babies

These creatures being born shows one of the ways God is controlling His creation. The animals are His, the plants are His, the seas are His, the land is His, we are His.

Giraffes are my favorite animal, they are so well designed by God! Maybe sometime I will post some facts about them...How would y'all like that?

The wife of a weirdo, 5 W's and an H Women of the Bible study

Okay, now who is the wife of a weirdo? Well, her husband was weird in the world's eyes, but to God, he wasn't. She is....



Who: Noah's wife. The mother of Shem, Ham, and Japheth. One of the only eight people to survive the flood, one of the only four women to survive the flood. The oldest woman to survive the flood. We don't know what her name was, she is only known as "Noah's wife." Have you ever been known as "so and so's sister?" or "so and so's brother?" I have, it gets kinda annoying. :P

What: Not much is said about her in the Bible, we don't even know her name. But what we do know, is that she can also be called "The mother of all living." Because she is the mother of all "living!" hehehe. Basically, the world was begun anew, so, there are two, "mother's of all living." What she did is not recorded in the Bible, but we know that there was a lot of work on the ark! She had to have been cleaning and feeding animals all the time! We don't give her much credit for that.

Where: Well, in the middle east. We only really know that she and Noah, their sons and their wives landed on mount Ararat. Which is in modern day Turkey.

When: If my math was correct, Noah was born 1,056 years after God created the world, so, his wife was probably born about the same time.

Why: Noah's wife found favor with the Lord, or else she would not have been saved. But why? Why did God pick her? No one knows, only God, He knew that that would happen when He created the world. But, she was spared. That is like us as Christians, we are spared from Hell, we should be destroyed, but God had mercy on us, and saved us through Jesus Christ. Ken Ham, founder of Answers in Genesis, found an analogy that God used through the ark, in proclaiming that Jesus was coming. He said that the ark was a picture of Jesus Christ, that when Noah was preaching, it was like how Jesus would when he would come to earth, Noah was inviting people to come into the ark to be saved from the flood, Jesus was inviting people to come to Him to be saved from Hell. See the comparison?

How: Okay now Eve was easy, but for everyone else this is going to be difficult. :) How was she saved? She was saved by getting on the ark with her husband sons and daughters-in-law. God saved her, and her family.
