Youth Camp-out already over...

Well, it's over. Actually, it was over on Sunday afternoon, but anyways...it was great! It was a great time of fellowship, games, devotions, singing, hot cocoa and s'mores! I really wish I could post some pictures of us playing ultimate football, or the scavenger hunt, or just sitting around the camp fire, but I can't. So, I'll just post some nature pics instead. :D

The beautiful lake.

Ducks
Gorgeous sunset.
Cardinal that was too far away to take a good picture of...lol.
Our tent buddy. lol. actually not, this little guy stayed on the OUTSIDE of the tent. :D

Thank you all for your prayers. We had the best weather that we've ever had! And no one got majorly injured besides my counselor. She (I think) sprained her ankle just a few hours before we left. So you can be praying for her healing!

I'll post more pics on Snapshots From God's Creation later! ttyl!

No Greater Love - by me

No Greater Love
_____________

I was lost
And you found me
I was hungry
And you fed me
I was thirsty
And you gave me drink
I was crying
And you wiped away my tears
I was tired
And you carried me
I was alone
And you were there
I was sick
And you healed me
I doubted you
And you still loved me
I was guilty
And you were perfect

I was going to die
Yet you died in my place
You deserved heaven
I deserved hell
Yet you brought me to live with you
Jesus I do not understand
the depth of your love
Yet I love you and give you all

Hidden Beauty - by me

Hidden Beauty
______________

She was dressed in rags
She was covered in dirt
No one cared
Everyone ignored

She was starving
She was thirsty
No one cared
Everyone ignored

She was crying
She was sick
No one cared
Everyone ignored

Every day the same
Nothing changed

Then one day
When she could hardly move
Someone saw her

They took her home
Bathed and clothed her
Fed her and gave her water
Wiped away her tears
And nursed her to health

This day was different
Her life forever was changed
Because someone had the ability to see
The beauty that is in every human being

And through Christ
She lived forever with Him.

Solitude - by me

Solitude
__________

I love the shade
I love the sound
The twilight fade
This place I've found

I love sitting here
Silently enjoying nature
Without a fear
Of any living creature

I love solitude
Solitude one only finds in a forest.

True Compassion

I just want to say how happy I was that y'all liked my poems! And to tell you that I wrote more to True Compassion. :) Here it is in full.

True Compassion
_______________

I was cold
I was hungry
It was snowing
It was dark

You let me in
You made me warm
You gave me food
You showed me love
That is true compassion

I was crying
I was lonely
I was ignored
I was outcast

You wiped away my tears
You befriended me
You listened to me
You loved me
That is true compassion

I was sweating
I was thirsty
I was dying
I was alone

You shaded me
You gave be water
You saved my life
You cared about me
That is true compassion

I had sinned
I had beaten you
I deserved death
I didn't deserve compassion

You were perfect
You were beaten
You died in my place
That is true compassion

____________

I hope you all enjoyed it. :)

More to come tomorrow!

Poems by me

Hi! I had to do these for school so I thought I'd go ahead and share them with you. :)

George Washington

His country had chosen him,
Unanimously did they vote.
Though he dreaded to leave
His beautiful home,
His country called on him.

On that day so beautiful,
Dressed in homemade ruffles,
He took an oath,
To protect, defend, and serve his country,
The United States of America.

True Compassion

I was cold.
I was hungry.
It was snowing.
It was dark.
I was in need of compassion.

You let me in.
You made me warm.
You gave me food.
You showed me love.
That is true compassion.

I had sinned.
I had beaten you.
I deserved death.
I didn't deserve compassion.

You were perfect.
You were beaten.
You died in my place.
That is true compassion.

Campout this weekend!

Hi-de-ho everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a long time. :( Unfortunately I don't have an excuse for this one...lol.

But! This weekend I am going on our Church's Youth Campout!!! I can't wait! We leave Friday afternoon and get back Sunday afternoon, it is such a short time, but it is so much fun!

I went last year, some of you followers might remember. To see those posts, click here and here. :)

Just like last time, please pray for that we would have a safe trip there and back, it is about an hour away. And that no one would get hurt, especially jumping off of the rocks into the river, which I am not planning on doing. lol. And also that we would have a good time of fellowship and time in God's Word.

Also just like last time, I'll take as many pictures as I can, but I won't be able to post the ones of people, sorry. :)

God bless!
